One time as Sant Baba Harnaam Singh Ji was sat down he told his beloved student Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji that he had a great urge to listen to Gurbani and that five simultaneous Sri Akhand Path Sahibs should be organised. Those fortunate souls who have managed to attain a glimpse of the great jeevan of Sant Harnaam Singh Ji will know that Mahapursh was constantly coloured in the love of Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj’s bani.
Gyani Udham Singh Ji wrote a book many years ago about Ikonkaar and the power of Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj’s bani. Within this book Gyani Ji wrote the following sakhi which he experienced with his own eyes:
One time Gyani Mohan Singh Ji Rare Sahib wale visited Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindranwale and asked Mahapursh what the signs of a Brahmgyani (True Saint) were. Sant Ji smiled and said, “When one has completely destroyed any essence of ego such that it does not come even to them in their dreams. When one has defeated all vikaars and sees Waheguru’s light everywhere in each and every soul then the nishani of Brahmgyan will be hoisted. Gurmat principles demand that even when one achieves such an avastha they still should think of themselves as the slave of everyone.”
